In December 2006 Biosphere received official approval from the State Environmental Protection Administration of China for its operations in China. Approval to operate in China by The State Environmental Protection Administration of China was a momentous positive milestone in GEECF’s aspirations to become a World Leader in renewable energy. GEECF’s endorsement by the Chinese Government, a country with one fifth of the World’s population, and 378 cities with a population of over two hundred thousand people in each city is a breakthrough in GEECF’s ambition to reduce global warming providing future generations with a cleaner world. With this endorsement all 378 of these Chinese cities have been given the opportunity to convert their municipal solid waste to electricity or other environmentally acceptable products, meeting with the highest environmental standards in the USA, the European Union and the Peoples Republic of China.
Biosphere (Shaoxing) Technology Company Limited has been fully permitted to operate in China by the following State and Government agencies:
1. the State Environment Protection Administration of China、
2. the Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission、
3. the Department of Land and Resources Zhejiang、
4. the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Shengzhou、
5. the Shengzhou Administration for Industry & Commerce、
6. the Shengzhou Administration of Taxation、
7. the Department of Construction of the Shengzhou and
8. the State GRID Corporation of China.
This project meets with and complies with all relevant policies and regulations in the People's Republic of China and enjoys complete Government recognition and support. Moreover, as this project meets with current Governmental aspirations for environmental improvement, complete Government assistance and support has been extended to the project and to its promoters. Biosphere Process Systems operating in China enjoy several significant market advantages:
Market Introduction
The Government of the People's Republic of China attaches great importance to environmental protection. In the country's "11th Five-Year" plan, industries that assist in environmental protection are offered key support and considerable benefits from the government. Because the Biosphere is a qualified environmental technology, the Chinese government will reduce taxes for our business to zero;
The government of Shengzhou city (Zhejiang province) has advised Biosphere (Shaoxing) Technology Company Limited, that they will not license any other company or technology in competition to Biosphere thereby ensuring a legal monopoly status for Biosphere in Shengzhou city (Zhejiang province).
China is a country with nearly 1.4 billion people, whose increasing daily production of Municipal Solid Waste is recognized in Bejing as a strategic problem. Central Government is extremely concerned to ensure an efficient and environmentally friendly method of disposing of this increasing MSW problem, providing an enormous market opportunity for Biosphere.
Since The State Environment Protection Administration of China and the China Environment Protection Association have agreed to, accepted and licensed the "Biosphere Process Systems" technology to operate in China, we expect that within three years "Biosphere Process Systems" will become the industry standard in China.
Global Environmental Energy Corp., has developed a strategic alliance with Shaoxing University, establishing a technology research and development Center to support and continually develop the Biosphere Technology ensuring that the technology will continue to enjoy its market leading position in China.
Marketing Strategy
Because the “Biosphere Process Systems” has been approved by the State Environment Protection Administration of China, Biospheres will be deployed throughout China to convert MSW to electricity.
Stage one of this project, Biosphere Asia Pacific is the installation of 1,200 tons MSW processing capacity per day at Biosphere (Shaoxing) Technology Company Limited’s site at Shengzhou with a capital cost of USD$20,000,000.
Stage two of this project will provide for the installation by Biosphere Asia Pacific of additional Biospheres, with a daily MSW processing capacity of 22,700 in Jiangxi province in the south of China, where the population is 43,000,000. The capital cost of this stage of the project is $378,333,333.33
Jiangxi province has 11 cities and a population of 16,000,000. The government of Jiangxi wants to adopt the Biosphere for all of their MSW disposal requirements, initially at sites in Huzhou City, Jujiang City, Jingdezhen City, Jian City, and thereafter at seven other cities treating about 22,700 tons of city waste per day in total and enjoying a legal monopoly status.
